Introduction
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“Client”) and HAUS FOLD, LLC (“HAUS FOLD,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) governing your use of our website, software applications, and in-home laundry folding, light cleaning, and organization services (collectively, the “Services”). By accessing or using the Services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. You must be at least 18 years old, reside in the United States, and use the Services for personal, noncommercial purposes. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Services.
Changes to the Terms of Service
HAUS FOLD reserves the right to modify these Terms at our sole discretion. Changes are effective immediately upon posting on our website. Your continued use of the Services after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. It is your responsibility to periodically review the Terms for updates, as they are binding upon you.
The Services
HAUS FOLD provides in-home laundry folding, light cleaning, and organization services for personal, noncommercial use only.
Payment
Weekly Laundry Folding
- Invoiced monthly via QuickBooks, with payment due within 7 days of invoice receipt.
- Invoices detail services provided and applicable hourly rates.
- Pricing is based on hourly rates.
Refresh Service
- Priced hourly based on garment quantity, with an estimated cost provided in advance (subject to adjustment by ±1 hour).
- A $100 non-refundable deposit is required at booking.
- The final balance is invoiced within 10 days of service completion and due within 7 days.
- Late payments may incur fees or result in collection actions.
Minimum Charges
- Basic Weekly Folding: $45 per hour.
- Monthly Subscription Services: $200 minimum per month.
Payment Terms
Payments are due within 7 days of invoice issuance. A reminder will be sent after 10 days. If payment remains outstanding after 30 days, HAUS FOLD may engage a debt collection agency or pursue legal action. Non-payment for 30 days results in forfeiture of client status and termination of Services until full payment is received.
Cancellation of Services
Cancellations must be submitted in writing via email to hello@hausfold.com at least 24 hours before the scheduled service. Cancellations within 24 hours will incur the minimum charge for the applicable service.
Refunds
Payments are non-refundable and non-transferable, except in cases where HAUS FOLD fails to provide the Service due to our error. In such cases, HAUS FOLD may, at our discretion, offer a discount on the next monthly invoice.
Damaged Items
HAUS FOLD’s liability for damaged items is limited to the folding charge for the affected garment, capped at $200 total per claim and $25 per item, regardless of the item’s value. Damage must be reported within 10 days of service to hello@hausfold.com. Claims are only honored if all service charges are paid in full. On-site damage is documented via a Damage Report, and any credits will be applied to the client’s account.
Access to Home
Clients must be present to grant access to their home or provide a lock code or key. If access is not provided within 15 minutes of the scheduled service time, the appointment will be considered canceled, and applicable charges may apply.
Pets
If clients are not home during service, aggressive pets must be secured away from service areas. Clients are responsible and liable for their pets and must comply with all applicable laws.
Surveillance Cameras
Clients must inform HAUS FOLD owners (Jessie, Jessica, or Blake) of any in-home surveillance cameras to ensure employee awareness. Use of cameras is permitted.
Text Messages
By using the Services, you consent to receiving informational text messages (e.g., appointment reminders, payment notifications). You may opt out by replying “STOP” to any text or emailing your request to hello@hausfold.com. Standard message and data rates may apply.
Warranty
The Services are provided “as is” without warranties, except as expressly stated herein. HAUS FOLD disclaims all implied warranties, including those of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, and does not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free Services, third-party payment platforms, or the accuracy of content. Some limitations may not apply in certain jurisdictions where such disclaimers are prohibited by law.
Limitation of Liability
Except for liability related to damaged items as outlined above, HAUS FOLD shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, incidental, or punitive damages arising from the use of the Services or third-party payment platforms, even if foreseeable, unless required by applicable law.
Third-Party Platforms
HAUS FOLD uses QuickBooks for payment processing and is not liable for any actions, errors, or omissions by QuickBooks. Clients must comply with QuickBooks’ Terms and Conditions. Use of third-party platforms is at the client’s own risk, and HAUS FOLD does not endorse or guarantee third-party content.
Intellectual Property
HAUS FOLD owns all intellectual property rights in the Services, including software, content, and designs, protected under U.S. and international laws. Clients may not copy, use, or distribute these materials without prior written permission from HAUS FOLD. Violations may result in legal penalties or termination of your account.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold HAUS FOLD harmless from any claims, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Services, breach of these Terms, user content, or violation of third-party intellectual property or privacy rights.
Force Majeure
Neither party shall be liable for delays or failure to perform due to events beyond their reasonable control (e.g., natural disasters, acts of God). The affected party must notify the other and take reasonable steps to mitigate the impact. If Services are impeded, HAUS FOLD may provide credits, not refunds, at our discretion.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina. Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in South Carolina.
Waivers
Failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of such rights unless explicitly stated in writing by HAUS FOLD.
Notifications
HAUS FOLD may notify clients via our website, email, or mail. Clients must send notifications to HAUS FOLD via mail to our registered address.
Assignment
Clients may not assign these Terms without HAUS FOLD’s prior written consent. HAUS FOLD may assign these Terms to affiliates or successors without client approval.
Relationship of Parties
These Terms do not create a partnership, employment, or agency relationship between HAUS FOLD and the client.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, it will be enforced to the fullest extent permitted by law, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
